Atlantic Canada tours
The four provinces of Atlantic Canada are vast. From giant roaring waves and attractive lighthouses to brightly coloured fishing villages and jagged red sandstone cliffs, there is much to explore in a region that is only six hours from Europe.
There is history and tales of pirates in Nova Scotia, as well as rugged coastlines. The maritime province’s Cape Breton Island is also rich in Celtic heritage - where you can walk amongst endless forests and listen to music that will stir the soul.
Head to Newfoundland & Labrador where you’ll discover a path less trodden, with teeming wildlife on land and in the sea, majestic beaches and culturally rich towns. Devour a lobster dinner and hear stories from the friendly locals.
Hear the wind roar as the Atlantic Ocean whips up around glistening icebergs and pretty fishing villages stud the coastline. Newfoundland & Labrador is a natural paradise, where encountering a whale or two as well as nesting puffins is common place.
Atlantic Canada tours reveal a stunning landscape with extraordinary skies and far-reaching wilderness just waiting to be explored…

Where should I visit in Atlantic Canada?
New Brunswick
Scenic New Brunswick is a haven for both outdoor enthusiasts and those interested in Canadian history. A host of driving routes ideal for taking in the natural beauty of the province crisscross the region, while numerous towns and cities provide a variety of cultural delights for the perfect holiday.
The Capital City of Fredericton was once a British garrison and is where you will find attractions such as the Kings Landing Historical Settlement, the 19th-century Christ Church Cathedral, and the Historic Garrison District featuring local artisan displays and shops. Saint John is New Brunswick's largest city, a port city located along the Bay of Fundy, and a popular destination for tourists who flock to the City Market, the New Brunswick Museum and the nearby Irving Nature Park.
Elsewhere, St Andrews is the oldest seaside resort town in Canada and a wonderful place to stop for lunch overlooking the phenomenal Bay of Fundy. The Bay of Fundy has the highest tides in the world with 100 billion tones of seawater flowing in and out twice a day creating magnificent experiences along this coastal route including whale watching. Also located along the Bay of Fundy, and a must see, are the iconic Hopewell Rocks; giant rock formations have been carved from the coastline by the power of the Bay of Fundy’s tides.
Newfoundland and Labrador
Representing the easternmost part of North America, Newfoundland and Labrador is a province of firsts. It is where the Vikings first landed in 1000 AD, where the sun rises first and where Italian navigator John Cabot made the first European contact with North America after the Vikings. Yet, despite its rich history, Newfoundland and Labrador is the youngest of the Canadian provinces.
Some of the attractions and sites of note you can visit on Maritime Canada tours here include the spectacular Gros Morne National Park, Iceberg Alley, L'Anse aux Meadows - a Viking settlement dating back over 1,000 years - and the Port aux Choix National Historic Site. The Witless Bay Ecological Site is a must-see for wildlife lovers due to the fact it is home to over half a million Atlantic puffins.
Nova Scotia
Come and explore Nova Scotia, a world of natural beauty, sea-spun warmth and a way of life shaped by founding cultures whose love of life is legendary. The scenery is magnificent. The food is fabulous. And, from the moment you arrive, you'll feel like family.
Nova Scotia is fringed with more than 4,750 miles of diverse coastline, and its offers an equally extensive range of holiday experiences, from exploring the historic seaport of Halifax to drinking in the views at Peggy's Cove, one of North America's most photographed villages; touring the magical coastal Cabot Trail to celebrating a tapestry of cultures in tradition, art and music, confirming why the world sings the praises of Nova Scotia's salmon, lobster and Digby scallops to the accompaniment of award-winning local wine.
Prince Edward Island
Prince Edward Island is Canada's smallest and greenest province, and it is known for the vivid colours of its gently rolling landscape. Fill your days by meandering through antique shops, farmers' markets and pastoral villages where you can sample delicious culinary treats fresh from the ocean.
History envelopes you as you stroll the streets of Charlottetown, the birthplace of Canada's confederation and the Island's capital city. Take a walk to Peake's Wharf where merchants combine the best entertainment, shopping, and dining. For leisurely strolling, choose any of the sandy beaches and let your feet be caressed by warm, gentle waves.
