Charm of Cape Cod with Historic Boston and New York
We love...
Staying in the lovely New England town of Falmouth. It makes an ideal base for our visits along the Cape Cod peninsula, where we’ll discover sights that tell the story of the Pilgrim Fathers.
Combining the history and culture of Boston, the 1950s seaside charm of Cape Cod and the bright lights of New York, this tour is a leisurely discovery of America’s east. Three nights in Boston allows plenty of time to follow its Freedom Trail or stroll along Beacon Hill. Falmouth gives us easy access to the Cape’s treasures - wide sandy beaches, harbour towns and upscale Martha’s Vineyard. Explore Newport’s Breakers Mansion and Yale University before concluding in the most exciting of US cities, New York.

Today is free for you to explore. An easy, walkable city, it is worth taking your time to wander, keeping your eye out for the details and the odd quirk of architecture such as the brass plates and gas lamps. Renowned for its thriving arts scene, much-celebrated sports teams like the Red Sox, superb shopping centre, exquisite seafood restaurants and a highly esteemed university that keeps the city’s energy youthful, there’s plenty to fill your day.
Day 4 - Plymouth - Falmouth, Cape Cod

You’re free to explore the town of 300-year-old restored homes or take an optional excursion to Plimoth Patuxet Museums. Here, life on the early settlement is played out before you in this fully functioning village. Later this afternoon, we transfer to our hotel in Falmouth, Cape Cod.

It was a symbol of the Vanderbilt family’s social and financial power in turn of the century America and is home to spectacular art and opulence. We’ll take a tour of the charming apple orchards and taste some of their excellent products.
