Memories of Mallorca
We love...
Taking in the views from the imposing Bellver Castle. Outside, you’ll be looking over Palma and the glittering Mediterranean Sea; inside, you’ll be admiring stunning statue displays.
On our stay and explore holidays to Mallorca, we'll delve deeper into what’s been bringing well-informed travellers to this beautiful island for years. Gaze at the exquisite stained glass in Palma’s impressive Gothic Cathedral and stroll along the white sands of the pine-fringed shoreline at Formentor. Explore the narrow maze-like streets of medieval Alcúdia and ride an antique, narrow-gauge train through the mountains to the lovely port of Sóller. You’ll stay at Hotel Bon Sol, set on a cliff side above Illetas’ sandy cove.

Day 2 - Palma
This morning we explore Palma on a guided tour. This honey-coloured city dates back to the 13th century, so it’s fair to say it has a richly decorated history. From its imposing Gothic cathedral to its winding medieval streets lined with aristocratic houses, it’s beautiful to look at too. Our tour will take in the impressive cathedral and even more impressive palace. We’ll discover the historical centre with a guided walk followed by our included tour of nearby Bellver Castle.

Day 4 - Alcúdia - Formentor - Puerto Pollensa
We have a full day to look forward to, starting with a visit to the old medieval fortified town of Alcúdia, where there’ll be free time to explore. Day 7 - Sóller and Valdemossa
An adventure of nostalgia awaits today, as we journey aboard an antique narrow-gauge train from Palma to the Port of Sóller. This thriving port was once isolated from the rest of the island by mountains until El Tren de Sóller was built in the early 20th century. We'll cross these mountains, via numerous bridges, an impressive viaduct and 13 tunnels. We’ll then head into Sóller itself by tram to explore. There’ll also be a stop in the medieval town of Valdemossa, home to the Carthusian monastery where Frédéric Chopin stayed in 1838.
